Our Approach
Ultimately, transforming our energy systems and healing our relationship to the planet is a matter of re-wiring how we think about nature, as much as it is building out a decarbonised energy infrastructure and extracting the minimum volumes needed to sustain human well-being.
Together weaves systems thinking into a collaborative, radically inclusive approach to engagement that supports investors, development finance institutions, industry and communities to find common ground that secures equitable, mutual benefits from the energy transition.
Underpinning our approach is informed, sustained engagement with indigenous knowledge systems and their knowledge-keepers; tapping into wisdom that has not divided humans from nature and landscape as dominant beliefs and economic systems tend to do.

Our approach rests on two pillars and is grounded in informed, sustained engagement with indigenous community knowledge systems and their knowledge-keepers; tapping into wisdom that has not divided humans from nature and landscape as dominant beliefs and economic systems have a tendency to do.
Ensuring effective, meaningful, sustained community-company dialogue
Meaningful dialogue de-risks mining and renewables projects by ensuring truly participatory, symmetrical, fully-empowered decision making. There need not be baked-in antagonism or mistrust between explorers, mining companies and host communities (or within communities themselves). An inclusive, co-created approach is not only possible, it’s urgently necessary.
Applying a holistic, systems approach to downstream and upstream community economic development and well-being
This approach goes far beyond merely ensuring direct or indirect jobs in the projects themselves. This includes exploring nature-positive solutions like reforestation and afforestation, re-skilling community members, catalysing the opportunities of regenerative agriculture and so on.
